Week Blog Review (Week 16)

Weekly Blog Review-Week 16

I'm back after winter break and now had settled back to my usual homework schedule. The paragraph after this one will describe my winter break. As for this week, it been great unlike the last two weeks. The only situation that gave me much stress was my civil war project, but that was settled by Tuesday. Over the break, I had to do a civil war project describing events, and people involved in the civil war; long story short I had stalled too long. Fortunately, my united states history teacher allowed me one more day to clean up the project to be more presentable. The rest of the week was great and I bonded a bit more with my fellow classmates and new students as well. In piano class, my piano taught the class our next song in our piano books: Swaying Silver Birches; I had already master the song after just two practice times. I also have mastered In the Swing and four of the Christmas songs. I just need to practice the flat scales over the weekend. In geometry class, the teacher taught us the Right-Angle Theorem and Equidistance theorem for proofs in the next chapter. Today, we just worked on our final exam practice worksheet. In Spanish II class, my teacher gave the class and I review on chapter 2B from Monday to Thursday before giving the class a test on the chapter today (Friday). In English class my class and I starts our next book The Crucible, a play that has parallels to the Red Scare during the Cold war. In P.E, we started volleyball this week and it has been very fun so far. Today we started the official matches for volleyball and my team was amazing despite we lost all three matches.  In United States History class, we review the Civil war before beginning the next chapter on the reconstruction of the United States. Finally, in chemistry class the class was taught about ionic bonds. Overall one of the best weeks so far.

During the winter break, I watched YouTube videos, listened to music, played computer games, watched anime and practice the piano. For Christmas this year, I gave my grandma on my dad's side and my cousin Nathan a present. I was very excited to see the joy on Nathan's face when he saw my present. For me, I got skull candy headphones, blue exorcist manga books 9-12, twelve watches of different colors, clothes, a giraffe pillow pet and a Hetalia poster! The poster has America, England, Japan, S. Italy and Prussia! On Christmas, I went to a Christmas party at my Aunt Pearl's house. I mainly stayed in the basement with the rest of the teens and kids; surprising I actually look over my little cousins. When I enter the basement they was playing on a mattress, but soon began arguing over turns. It came so naturally, but I told them to have turns to clear everything up. Soon, they stop arguing and took turns doing flips on the mattress. They was the first few little cousins that I actually remember the names of, I'm really terrible with name. Soon, the cousins that are the same age as me break the bed in the other room and the little kids was "forbidden to jump on the mattress". I'm sure my older cousin would let them play anyway since there was nothing for them to do. They had no toys and there was no good kid channels on their cable. In the end, I watched over them for most of the party and went home with my close family with their names in my mind. I also didn't eat any food because my dad already made food at home. Basically the experience was weird and it made me appreciate not having any little siblings. They was a handful to deal with sometimes. That was my winter break.
