Week Blog Review-Week 15
This week had been great until Friday, the last day before Christmas Break. In piano, the class practice the sharp scales, half of the flat scales and Christmas songs. During this week my piano teacher gave us two new Christmas songs that I have yet master: "Silent Night" and "Deck the Halls". The first three days was pretty normal just studying the Christmas songs and the scales F major, Ab major, Bb major, and Eb major. On Thursday, I helped my piano teacher with setting up the pianos for the winter concert on that day and spent the first period in the theatre. Friday was the test for the scales F major, Bb major, Eb major and Ab major. Oh, the letter "b" beside the capital letters mean flat. I should have studied more with the fingering for the scales because I think I didn't got a good grade for the test. As for Geometry, my class and I continued work on detour proofs before being introduced to constructing diagrams, givens and proofs for problems without diagrams. It's very interesting and challenging to use only words to construct a diagram, two or more givens, and a statement to prove. On Friday, we was given practice on how to copy a triangle without just tracing the given triangle. In Spanish II, my class and I did review of chapter 2B, took a test on the chapter on Tuesday, watched the movie "In the Time of the Butterflies" on Wednesday and Friday and did a lab day on Thursday. In English II, my class did black boy presentations on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I think my group and I did well on our presentation with our creative approach on the presentation of the seminal events of the main character. Friday we only did a word search puzzle with the word given to be found being the names of all my classmates in the room. P.E was the worst class in the week because we was playing basketball and I got a bit too competitive and worried about not contributing as much as I could to my team. In US History, we watched the movie Glory on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and I loved the movie. It was very awe-inspiriting to see the determination of Shaw. Friday and I believe on Monday as well I watched roots, we on the part where chicken George returned to see his sons and his wife. As for Chemistry, my chemistry teacher teached the class and I about the spectrum, wavelengths, and colors for the first four days of the week. On Friday, we had a party and I could not enjoy as much as I wanted to because I was very stressed out my image to my fellow classmates and other students of the school. Overall, great week until fifth period gym on Friday.

Week Blog Review (Week 14)
Week Blog Review-Week 14
This week had been very fun, amusing and stressful despite it being the 2 week mark before Christmas break. During this week, I studied, did homework and practice for my classes, especially for piano. For piano, I practiced the songs Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, The First Noel and The March of Three Kings. I find the song The March of the Three Kings very hard to play compare to all the other songs I was taught in piano class so far because for the song I must play a continuous melody for the left hand while playing another different melody for the right hand. It's only difficult because I kept playing some notes at the same time as the notes for the left hand, which is wrong. Otherwise, the other three songs is easy to play and I have already mastered Jolly Old Saint Nicholas and The First Noel. For the song We Wish You a Merry Christmas, I just need to practice the second part of the song to master the song completely. In Geometry, my teacher gave us review of chapter three of our books before testing us on the chapter on Wednesday. The test was easy and I believe I passed the test with only one problem wrong due to miscalculations on the second part of the question. On Thursday and Friday, the class was introduced to detour proofs, which I have trouble completing so far or completing the proofs in fewer steps. In Spanish, my class did book work, partner work, note taking and lab work on chapter 2B and past stem-changing for the majority of the week. However, my class practice listening and translating by listening to a song in Spanish and then translating the lyrics in English. In English, we did journals, group work on our projects on the novel Black Boy and took our unit 5 test on Friday. The group project stressed me out a bit because I think one of my group members did not place her chapter events on the documents. In P.E, my class played basketball games in teams except for Friday because our teacher was out for that Day. P.E on Thursday was exceptional fun because I finally lost my over-completive spirit and just focus on having fun with my classmates despite my team losing all our games so far. In United States, we had a history trial for John Brown with the witness of both the Defense and Prosecutors being actual historic figure while the remaining class is the jury. In the end, the prosecution won probably because the defiant pretty much was a liability to himself, but I already felt that the trial was a bit one-sided since we was trying to prove that John Brown was not criminally unmoral for killing people. Right quick, in chemistry we just took notes on electron configuration and took a test on Friday on electron configuration. Overall, the week was actually good, plus I brought presents for my family to put under the Christmas tree. I hope they loved their gifts, I just need to buy my mom a gift.

Week Blog Review (Week 13)
Week Blog Review (Week 13)
This week was a great week, if I do not count the worse days of the week: Monday and Tuesday. These two days only was terrible because of events that involved losing time because of public transportation and due to stress. The week was a bit unusual because my piano teacher did not came to school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for reasons I can only guess based on context clues. Monday was only terrible because it took an hour and twenty minutes for me to get home instead of the usual 35 minutes, the twenty minutes for just waiting for the bus to arrive. Otherwise, Monday was still a good days in term of no stressful events. In piano, I just practice In the Swing and the scales. In Geometry, my class did review of homework assignments based on Chapter 3 of the geometry book. The chapter been a bit hard for me to understand completely as I solve the proofs either wrong or in too many steps that are not necessary. Spanish was just introducing our next chapter in the Realidade II books. Our new chapter, 2B, is focus around terms about shopping, items that would be found in a store and description of these items. English was presentations and the beginning of assigning groups for the project of this week. P.E was just practicing lap-ups for the test. US History was just note taking on the differences between the north and the south in the mid-1800s. Lunch was normal and finally Chemistry was review of electron configuration. I realized that I should make a summary of each day because I can't remember many key events on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday was only not a good day because I had given my Chemistry teacher only one of the three required graphs, thus when I hand her the completed work it will be considered late work. The only other key events I could only remember from the school week is the sharp scale test I had in Piano, a experiment on electron probability and doing wordplay for chapter 2B of the Realidade book.
